Know before you buy, if a price of a service sounds to good to be true, it probably is. There is nothing wrong with trying to save a buck, and get a good deal. The question is, how do we know if we are getting a good deal or not. So, here are a few questions to ask before you book your next carpet or tile cleaning appointment.
If pricing is by the room, how many square feet is considered a "room"? And what is considered a "room", living/dining room combos, closets, etc.
How many steps do you perform while cleaning? If they don't know, hang up! There should be several steps to every cleaning process and they should know all of them without hesitation.
What is the average time they spend at your home? Of course, it depends on how many areas/items they will be cleaning. But, even for a few rooms, if they are only there around about an hour or and hour and half, they are missing steps, or not taking the time to clean properly. A good, proper cleaning, takes time!
What is their training? And how many years has the TECHNICIAN, not the company, been cleaning? Are their staff background checked?
Do they ask what type of carpet they will be cleaning? For example, there is usually an extra charge for berber carpet. Berber is very difficult and time consuning to clean properly.
Here are some things to be aware of:
"Add on" services. Remember once a company is in your home or office, they will most likely try to up sell you extra services. It is very hard to say no when someone is standing next you. At Steam Boss, Inc. there are NEVER any high pressure sales pitches. Extra services may be presented to you, but only if we feel they can help the consumer. For example, if you have old carpeting that you are planning to replace soon we would never suggest a carpet protector.
Lastely, be sure to read their reviews. It is important to hire a company you can trust, who has the knowledge and the proper equipment to get the job done right. The difference is in the details.
Call us anytime you may have a carpet or tile cleaning question. We will be happy to help if we can, or call for a estimate, they are always Free!
